Footage of the latest endeavours on the part of a highly-regarded young member of the Chelsea loan army has piqued widespread attentions across the Blues’ fanbase on Saturday evening.
The player in question? Omari Hutchinson.
For those not familiar with his name, Hutchinson is a gifted 19-year-old winger/attacker midfielder, who opted to swap Arsenal for capital rivals Chelsea in the summer of 2022.
After a season plying his trade at Cobham, the Jamaican international was farmed out on loan back in July, in a bid to secure some much-needed first-team football.
Hutchinson made the move to The Championship, linking up with newly-promoted Ipswich Town.
And, as alluded to above, this evening, he provided another reminder to those in a position of power at parent club Chelsea of his explosive talents.
After being introduced off the bench early in the 2nd-half of Ipswich’s league showdown with Blackburn Rovers, the wide-man shone bright, showcasing a full repertoire of touch, pace, dribbling ability, and creative flair.
Highlights of his performance - which proved central to the Blues’ eventual 4-3 win - can be seen below:
