Chelsea face off with Aston Villa in a Premier League clash on Sunday afternoon.
Ahead of the game, Potter discussed a number of topics in his presser, including team news.
Reports emerged on Friday that Reece James could miss the 2022 World Cup due to injury.
However, Potter gave little away with his comments regarding length of time out: “He’s due to see a specialist over the weekend. Until we get that, there’s not too much I can add. It would be speculation on my perspective. Let’s wait and see.
“He felt not too bad yesterday but until you get these things checked, you never know.”
Potter also provided updates on N’Golo Kante and Wesley Fofana: “He [Kante] is due to see a consultant at the weekend. It’s a setback and it’s not good news. But at this stage, I can’t give you anything more.
