Arsenal star Gabriel Magalhaes has taken to social media on Sunday night, to enjoy some fun at the expense of Brentford star Ivan Toney.
The Gunners, of course, were back in action earlier today.
After being leapfrogged by both champions Manchester City and fierce rivals Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League table on Saturday, Mikel Arteta’s troops made the trip across London, hopeful of returning to the summit of the English top-flight at the expense of Brentford.
And, when all was said and done, return to winning ways is precisely what the evening’s visitors went on to do.
A fine display saw Arsenal ultimately emerge on the right side of a 3-0 scoreline, owing to strikes on the part of all of William Saliba, Gabriel Jesus and Fabio Vieira.
As alluded to above, though, on the back of the action coming to a close at the Brentford Community Stadium on Sunday, it is not the names of Arsenal’s goalscorers which have taken their place front and centre on social media.
Instead, this honour has been reserved for teammate Gabriel Magalhaes.
This comes after the Gunners’ Brazilian stalwart made use of the opportunity to have some fun at the expense of Brentford’s Ivan Toney.
As many of an Arsenal persuasion will no doubt remember, on the back of a shock 2-0 defeat at the hands of Thomas Frank’s Bees on opening day last season, Toney was quick to rub salt in the wounds of those on the red half of north London, courtesy of the following tweet:
