Fulham team news and predicted XI vs Manchester City

All the latest from Marco Silva’s camp ahead of a trip to the Champions.

Fresh off the back of taking points from one of last season’s Premier League contenders, Fulham face a trip to another in the form of eventual champions Manchester City.

The Cottagers have had a horrible transfer window so far, losing talismanic figure Aleksander Mitrovic and fighting off interest in manager Marco Silva. Their form on the pitch has not been too impressive either despite having only lost one of their opening three games, with Bernd Leno one of the busiest goalkeepers in the top flight so far.

Unsurprisingly then, they are massive underdogs for the clash against last season’s treble winners this Saturday, but will take comfort in the point snatched against Arsenal and look to employ similar tactics to the same effect.

Here’s how we expect Marco Silva to line his side up, plus the latest team news for the Craven Cottage side.

Predicted XI

Team News

Fulham’s wretched summer could get worse still after it emerged that Joao Palhinha is keen to move to Bayern Munich in the final days of the transfer window, a link that could see him left out of the trip to the Etihad one way or another.

In better news, Tim Ream will return from suspension just in time to replace the now-suspended Calvin Bassey, who was sent off on his Fulham debut against Arsenal for two yellow cards and will therefore miss the clash with Pep Guardiola’s side.

Adama Traore may be handed a start after arriving on a free transfer, having made a positive impact from the substitutes bench at the Emirates Stadium to help them snatch a point from last season’s Premier League runners-up.
