One of the most important aspects of FPL is picking your captain each week. Whoever you select as your captain with earn double their standard score, or triple it if you chose to play your triple captain chip, which you can do once per season.
But deciding on your captain each week can be a very tough decision that can make or break your game week.
With this in mind, 101GreatGoals will be providing you with an insight into the best captain picks for every game week this season.
Erling Haaland vs Liverpool (12.2)
Haaland continued his goalscoring streak last weekend in the 4-0 win over Southampton.
The Manchester City forward now has 15 goals and three assists in 10 league games this term.
Haaland was also rested in midweek in the Champions League, so he should be fresh to take on Liverpool.
The Reds have struggled to keep clean sheets this season and are expected to be without Joel Matip and Trent Alexander-Arnold this weekend.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang vs Aston Villa (9.1)
Chelsea have looked a side transformed under Graham Potter, most recently beating AC Milan 2-0 to go top of their Champions League group.
They now face an Aston Villa side who are struggling for wins. Villa are currently 17th in the Premier League with just two wins to their name.
And whilst Aubameyang has only played one league game for Chelsea since his move, he has scored three goals in five games across all competitions and is expected to start at the weekend.
Gabriel Martinelli vs Leeds (6.6)
A somewhat rouge pick but one that could prove worth it given his current form.
Gabriel Martinelli has scored four and assisted three in the league for Arsenal this season, most recently terrorising Liverpool’s right-hand side in a 3-2 win.
The Gunners are sat top of the Premier League and are playing some great football. Leeds, meanwhile, are winless in five and have dropped down to 14th in the table.
