Erling Haaland’s father takes aim at Arsenal after Community Shield

The father of Manchester City star Erling Haaland has taken to social media on Sunday evening, to aim a less-than-subtle dig at Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal.

City, and Haaland, of course, were back in action a short time ago.

In the hopes of opening the new season the same way they finished the last, the Sky Blues made the trip to Wembley, eyeing the first piece of silverware of 2023/24 in a Community Shield showdown with Arsenal.

When all was said and done, however, Guardiola and co. were left shellshocked, as Leandro Trossard’s deflected last-gasp equaliser was followed by a dominant Arsenal triumph in the ensuing penalty shootout.

The aforementioned Haaland, meanwhile, was singled out for widespread criticism post-match, after failing to make any sort of positive impression on proceedings.

As alluded to above, though, amid such condemnation, one individual who was keen to shift attentions away from the prolific Norwegian was his own father, Alfie Haaland.
