Erling Haaland has revealed the bizarre secret which has helped fuel his Premier League success...

For over a month Erling Haaland has been put on ice and given time to recover from his amazing start to life in the Premier League.

Having not gone to the World Cup, the Norwegian has had over a month to prepare for the second half of the season.

During the break, Haaland has spoken to the media about his successes and revealed one of the main ingredients that has helped fuel his incredible form.

Haaland: “I have to eat it for the rest of my life”

Erling Haaland has revealed that his father, Alf-Inge’s, lasagne has become a key part of his match day prep.

The striker had the meal prior to his hat-trick against Crystal Palace which prompted him to do the same for the next match.

Four days later, he produced yet another hat-trick, this time against Nottingham Forest.

Haaland revealed: “I will tell you an honest thing. They made lasagna once and I ate it. The next day I scored a hat trick.

“What can be done then? They did it again for the next home game – another hat-trick.

“Okay, then I have to eat it for the rest of my life.

“I’m glad they make it. They make it with love. You can call it hat-trick lasagna.”
