‘Corruption’: Chelsea fans all blame one man for dropped points vs Tottenham

The Pensioners faithful have been left understandably incensed by their side’s first dropped points of the campaign

Chelsea’s supporters have flooded to social media on Sunday evening, to reveal their fury with developments in the club’s meeting with Tottenham Hotspur.

The Blues, of course, were back in action a short time ago.

On the back of an opening day downing of Everton, Thomas Tuchel’s troops welcomed capital rivals Tottenham to Stamford Bridge, for a highly-anticipated Premier League showdown.

And, safe to say, the ensuing 90 minutes did not disappoint.

A pulsating affair, featuring four goals, VAR drama and red cards for both managers, ultimately culminated in the points being shared.

This came after goals on the part of Kalidou Koulibaly and Reece James appeared to have done enough to guide Chelsea to all three points.

Deep injury injury time, however, Spurs struck a fatal blow, courtesy of star man Harry Kane:

Kane’s equaliser, when it did arrive, caused already mounting tensions to boil over in England’s capital.

After the pair were involved in a heated coming together not long before, Thomas Tuchel and Antonio Conte got into it once more, giving rise to a scuffle between both benches and sets of players.

All of this, though, in truth, stemmed from Chelsea being majorly hard done by on the day.

It could be argued that neither of Tottenham’s goals would have come to fruition had the pairing of Anthony Taylor and Mike Dean done their job to a sufficient degree.

This comes after Kai Havertz was fouled in the buildup to Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg’s strike, before Cristian Romero was lucky not to be sent for an early bath just moments prior to Kane’s decisive leveller.

On the back of the full-time whistle at Stamford Bridge, it should therefore come as little surprise to hear of the Chelsea faithful aiming their frustrations firmly in the direction of one man:
