Chelsea are set to host Liverpool without a manager, form or any real hope of European football next season.
Announcing that they had sacked Graham Potter on Sunday night after dropping into the bottom half of the Premier League thanks to a 2-0 defeat to Aston Villa 24 hours earlier, the Blues have won just two of their last six and currently sit five points behind 7th placed Brentford and a spot in next season’s Europa Conference League.
They welcome a Liverpool side in similar turmoil, with the Reds having been swept aside 4-1 by Manchester City and in serious danger of also missing out on Europe next season as it stands, with serious squad surgery needed this summer.
The Blues and the Stamford Bridge will be hoping that a caretaker manager bounce will aid them to three points, but on recent form it is hard to pick a winner.
Here’s the latest team news from the Chelsea camp, and how we expect the Blues to line up.

Midfielder N’Golo Kante could be in line to make his first start since August after playing the final half an hour in the 2-0 defeat to Aston Villa as he works his way back to full fitness from a hamstring injury.
Raheem Sterling could also feature, having missed the last three games with injury, as could Wesley Fofana, but the tie will come too soon for all of Thiago Silva (Knee), Edouard Mendy (Hand), Cesar Azpilicueta (head) and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (back), while Armando Broja is out for the season with a knee injury.
