Benoît Badiashile sustained a minor setback in his recovery from a hamstring injury, according to Nathan Gissing.
The defender suffered the setback at the end of last week and he is now back training individually.
However, he is hoping to resume team training again next week.
The 22-year-old is yet to feature for the west London club this season.
Chelsea are also without Reece James, Wesley Fofana, Christopher Nkunku, Romeo Lavia, Carney Chukwuemeka, Armando Broja, Marcus Bettinelli, Trevoh Chalobah, Marc Cucurella, Moises Caicedo and Nuno Madueke.
