Chelsea star Thiago Silva has, on Sunday, confirmed his hope that Paulo Dybala will ultimately make his way to west London this summer.
This, for those not aware, comes amid claims that the powers that be at Stamford Bridge are giving consideration to a move for the Argentine international.
Dybala’s contract with current club AS Roma, it is understood, contains a release clause for foreign sides, set at just €12 million.
With the former Juventus standout fresh off a season which saw him rack up 18 goals and eight assists across all competitions, the Chelsea hierarchy, in turn, have identified Dybala as a potential cut-price addition to the club’s frontline.
And, as alluded to above, one member of the Blues setup who would be thrilled to call the 29-year-old a teammate next season comes in the form of Thiago Silva.
Speaking to the media on Sunday, stopper Silva was drawn on the prospect of linking up with Dybala at Stamford Bridge.
And the veteran Brazilian first went on to reveal that he recently asked Dybala himself about the chances of him making the move to England this summer.
The Roma star, however, opted to remain coy on the subject.
From here, Silva then admitted that he maintains hope of as much coming to fruition, labelling Dybala ‘a top player’ who would mark ‘a massive signing’ for Chelsea.
