Preview for Baltimore Ravens @ Buffalo Bills
The Buffalo Bills will look to strengthen their position at the top of the AFC East when they welcome the Baltimore Ravens to Highmark Stadium in Week 8 of the 2026 NFL season on Sunday.
Buffalo return from their bye week with a 5-1 record, while Baltimore have lost their last two games and face an important test as they attempt to revive their AFC North title hopes.
The Bills lead the NFL in rushing touchdowns, averaging 2.33 per game, and have scored 23 touchdowns overall, the second-highest total in the league.
However, their defensive performances have been far less convincing.
Buffalo are allowing more than 380 yards per game and have struggled particularly against the pass, conceding an average of almost 286 passing yards per contest.
That weakness could prove costly against Baltimore, especially if Lamar Jackson returns from injury.
The Ravens have endured a more inconsistent campaign, winning four of their opening seven games.
Jesse Minter’s side have lost consecutive matches and enter Sunday’s contest following a disappointing 35-13 home defeat against the Cincinnati Bengals.
The quarterback has been sidelined since suffering an ankle injury against the Tennessee Titans in Week 4, leaving Tyler Huntley to lead the offence.
Huntley has performed reasonably well in Jackson’s absence, but Baltimore have lacked the same attacking threat without their two-time NFL MVP.
Jackson threw for 967 yards and six touchdowns in his opening four appearances, completing more than 70% of his passes and recording a passer rating of 119.6.
His potential return would be a major boost for an offence that has continued to produce impressive numbers despite its recent struggles.
Prediction for Baltimore Ravens @ Buffalo Bills
Buffalo have been the more consistent team this season and will benefit from home advantage and an additional week of preparation.
However, their defensive struggles should provide Baltimore with opportunities, particularly if Jackson is fit enough to return.
The Ravens have the attacking talent to exploit Buffalo’s vulnerable secondary, with Flowers capable of creating problems downfield and Henry offering a constant threat on the ground.
Baltimore will also hope that Jackson’s mobility can create additional opportunities against a defence that has struggled to prevent opponents from moving the ball.
Prediction: Buffalo Bills 30-27 Baltimore Ravens
