‘Best player in the world’ - Real Madrid fans in collective claim after electric start vs Osasuna

Supporters of Spanish giants Real Madrid have flooded to social media on Saturday evening, to lavish praise on a key member of the club’s squad.

Los Blancos, of course, are currently locked in action.

Kicking an absolutely crucial couple of fixtures into gear, Carlo Ancelotti’s troops have made the trip to the Estadio de La Cartuja, for a Copa del Rey finale showdown with Osasuna.

And, as things stand, Real are firmly in control of proceedings.

This comes after the capital heavyweights opened the scoring inside the opening two minutes of action.

Rodrygo proved the man on target, latching onto a pull-back from the left to slot home his 15th goal of what has been a fine campaign.

It was not the Brazilian’s name, however, which subsequently took its place front and centre in the chatter across social media.

Instead, this honour was reserved for teammate and fellow countryman Vinicius Jr.

After the 22-year-old laid on Rodrygo’s finish courtesy of an absolutely sumptuous run and pass across the face of goal, many of a Real persuasion went as far as to label Vinicius ‘the best player in the world’:
