Deal has been sealed
Barcelona have sealed the signing of Palmeiras defender Yerry Mina after the club decided against signing the player in the winter, but rather this window.
Though, the player will remain in Brazil with his current club until January as part of the deal to take them to the Camp Nou.
According to SPORT, the club have sealed the deal and it will cost them in the region of €9million.
The defender has linked with a move to Barcelona for the majority of the summer window and the club will be glad to finally have the deal done.
It is said that the performance in the El Clasico worried Barcelona officials and that they would have rather sealed a deal for Mina early on to ensure he arrives in the winter.
Samuel Umtiti and Gerard Pique were not enough to stop Real Madrid running riot both at the Camp Nou and in the latest clash at the Bernabeu on Wednesday.
Javier Mascherano’s position is said to be unclear while fourth choice defender Marlon is yet to properly feature for Barcelona’s first team.
Thomas Vermaelen is almost certain to leave the Camp Nou this summer and is still looking for a club to save him from sitting on the bench for another season.
