The man in question is right-back, Cedric Soares.
Cedric joined Arsenal on a free transfer from Southampton in 2020 but has since fallen out of favour.
He was loaned to Fulham in the second half of last season and is yet to play a game this term.
However, with Jurrien Timber likely out for the campaign, there may be a chance Soares sees some minutes for the Gunners in what is likely to be his final year at the club, with the 32-year-old out of contract next summer.
But when speaking to DAZN Portugal, Cedric explained his desire to stay and play in north London: “We’re very supportive of each other, we’re a family, even when we’re not playing.
“Everyone wants to play and I also always really want to play, that’s what makes me competitive in football.
“It’s what gets me to training every day with that determination, but also to realise that we have to contribute, even if we’re not in the squad sometimes.
“That is the aspect I think I developed a lot at Arsenal. Sometimes you have to work for the group and not focus so much on yourself individually.”
