A whole host of alarming statistics surrounding the recent struggles of Italian champions AC Milan have come to the fore late on Sunday.
This comes after the Rossoneri were condemned to yet another defeat.
Milan, of course, marked their return to action a short time ago. Fresh off a pair of successive Serie A drubbings at the hands of Lazio and Sassuolo, Stefano Pioli’s troops turned their attentions towards the latest edition of the Derby della Madonnina.
After sliping to a 3-0 defeat at the hands of their city neighbours in the Supercoppa Italiana just two weeks ago, safe to say that the Diavolo, in turn, had their sights set firmly on revenge.
When all was said and done at San Siro, however, the woes of Pioli and co. only continued to deepen.
This came as a solitary first-half header on the part of Lautaro Martinez proved enough to guide Inter to the right side of a 1-0 result, and the ensuing bragging rights.

The Rossoneri – who of course remain the Italian champions – currently sit an eye-watering 18 points off the Serie A summit, amid a seven-game winless stretch across all competitions.
It should therefore come as little surprise to hear of a whole host of alarming statistics coming to the fore online, on the back of Sunday’s action at San Siro coming to a close.
Check out just a small selection below, aptly summing up the extent of the issues on the red half of the Milanese divide at present:
9 – In the first half Inter made nine more shots than Milan (nine vs zero), a record in the first half of a match between these two sides since 2004/05 (since the data is available). Supremacy.#InterMilan

Milan have conceded the first goal for the sixth game in a row, which hadn’t happened since 1974 with Cesare Maldini in charge. https://t.co/bCZZMHutRO #InterMilan #ACMilan #Milan #Calcio #SerieA #DerbydellaMadonnina

4 – Considering all competitions, #ACMilan have lost four games in a row for the first time since the period between January and February 2017 under Vincenzo Montella. Tunnel. #InterMilan #derbymilan

Milan have only won three away games against Inter in all competitions since the 2010/11 season.
