Montpellier will be bidding to move further away from the drop zone when they meet with Angers in Ligue 1 this Sunday afternoon with the away side still sitting right at the bottom of the table with very little hopes of survival.
Over the past few weeks, Montpellier have managed to move further and further away from the relegation zone and they are now up into 14th in the Ligue 1 table after a 1-1 draw with Lens last time out.
Michel Der Zakarian’s side come into this game with a 1-0 victory over two weeks back as week, while they also defeated Brest 3-0 midway through February as well.
Montpellier are above the bottom four by six points now with this game extra to play, and a victory would take them nine clear and give them great hope of surviving this year.
The same cannot be said for Angers, however, as they come into this game in last place once again after losing their 19th game of the season last time out against Lyon. It leaves the club with a gap of 12 to make up on 16th-placed Auxerre.
