Carlisle United will be eyeing up the top three in 2023 after a fantastic run of form in December saw them move up into fourth ahead of trip to the Eco-Power Stadium where Doncaster Rovers have moved into the top half of the table.
Doncaster played out a thriller with Rochdale last time out, as the club led the game on four different occasions in a 4-3 win. Charlie Seaman, Ben Close, Harrison Biggins and Tom Anderson all scored that day for the club.
Rovers did, however, lose to Tranmere Rovers on Boxing Day with them heading into that game off the back of a narrow win in South Wales against Newport County.
As for Carlisle, they eased past Crewe Alexandra last time around in a fantastic 3-0 win on the road, as they also beat Bradford City at Brunton Park on Boxing Day.
A 2-1 loss to Northampton Town does put them on just a two-game winning run, while that loss was also a stark reminder at how tough it could be to get into the top three in the remainder of this season.
