Fourth will meet with 19th in League One this Boxing Day as Accrington Stanley and Barnsley clash at the Wham Stadium of the back of a troubling time for John Coleman’s men in the league with the Tykes sitting up in fourth.
Accrington are still coming into this game in winning form, however, despite tumbling down the League One table recently. As for Barnsley, they have won both their games in December, as the game against Oxford United was postponed two weeks back. Michael Duff’s men edged past Peterborough United at the start of the month in arguably their best away performance of the season.
A 2-0 win at Oakwell against Burton Albion keeps them in fourth and in a comfortable position in the playoffs.
