Sevilla to win and both teams to score NO is 1/1.

Match preview

Sevilla were in a title race not so long ago, and fighting for two more trophies, but now they face a real battle just to get back into the top four.

On Sunday night, los Nervionenses’ very underwhelming unbeaten run came to an end, going down 1-0 at Camp Nou against Barcelona.

Los Hispalenses had also been eliminated from the Copa del Rey and Europa League in this period, dumped out by Real Betis and West Ham.

Back in La Liga, that flurry of draws has seen them slip down to fourth with Real Betis and Real Sociedad in hot pursuit.

Thus, Sevilla need to start winning matches or they could ultimately drop out the top places.

At the other end of the table, Granada are just looking to maintain a safe distance between themselves and the relegation zone.

El Graná won for the first time in 2022 before the international break, beating Alavés 3-2, having amassed just one point from eight matches before this.

Then, last weekend, RubĂ©n Torrecilla’s side fought back from 2-0 down to hold Rayo Vallecano to a draw.

Jorge Molina halved the deficit before Luis Milla’s stoppage time penalty sent Nuevo Estadio de Los Cármenes into raptures.

This point means Granada are up to 16th, but just two points above RCD Mallorca in the drop zone.

Who will crank up the pressure on their direct rivals with a Friday night victory at Estadio Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán?

Sevilla team news

Diego Carlos started at Camp Nou on Sunday, his first appearance since 27 February, which is a massive boost.

The Brazilian will keep his place alongside Jules Koundé with Nemanja Gudelj, who is a midfielder, reverting to his more familiar role.

In attack, Papu Gómez is still unavailable but Érik Lamela is back so he and Lucas Ocampos could continue to flank Anthony Martial.

Since joining on loan from Manchester United, Martial has only scored once, largely due to injury.

Granada team news

RubĂ©n Torrecilla has taken four points from three games as Granada’s interim Head Coach, looking to add to this tally here.

He’s without full-back Santiago Arias and Carlos Neva so Quini and former Sevilla player Sergio Escudero are deputising.

In midfield, Njegoš Petrović has become a key figure under the new manager, alongside last weekend’s hero Luis Milla.

Luis Suárez and Jorge Molina will lead the line, chosen over Matías Arezo and Carlos Bacca.
