Can Real Sociedad bounce back from last weekend’s rare set-back?
Last time out, la Real were beaten for the first time since 30 October, with Valladolid leaving San Sebastián with a shock 1-0 victory.
Before this, Imanol Alguacil’s team were unbeaten in seven matches, winning five on the spin before drawing with Real Madrid at the Bernabéu.
This leaves Real Sociedad third, desperate to get back on track in Cornellà de Llobregat.
Hosts Espanyol start the weekend 15th, but will kick off in the relegation zone, if Sevilla and Valencia avoid defeat and Cádiz win, all of which is very plausible.
Blanquiazules held Osasuna to a 1-1 draw last time out, with Martin Braithwaite equalising in a game that ended ten aside.
Diego Martínez’s team won back-to-back games in January, beating Getafe and Betis, but those are the only two victories they’ve enjoyed since mid-October.
Will Real Sociedad leave RCDE Stadium with all three points?
