Can Cádiz continue to keep their heads above water?
Last Friday night, el Submarino Amarillo battled to a well-earned point, holding Real Sociedad to a goalless draw at Anoeta.
This ended their sequence of three successive defeats away from home while, back at Nuevo Mirandilla, they’re a tough team to beat.
In fact, Sergio’s side have won their last three home games without conceding, last losing in front of their own supporters on 10 September against Barcelona.
So, will Cádiz, who kick off in 15th, claim another vital victory here?
Visitors Getafe are one point and one place below their hosts, after leaping out of the relegation zone last weekend.
Quique Sánchez Flores’ side raced into a 3-0 lead at home to Girona, thanks to Enes Ünal’s quick-fire brace and then Borja Mayoral’s smart last-footed finish.
By the end though, Getafe were hanging on, with Girona getting it back to 3-2, with the home side, just about, preventing an equaliser.
That made it back-to-back home wins for Azulones, who’ve only lost one of their last five, although their last away win came on Halloween.
Thus, a Cádiz victory could be on the cards at Estadio Ramón de Carranza.
