Son Heung-min did little to quell speculation he could leave Tottenham with comments on his future amid reports of interest from the Saudi Pro League.
The Tottenham forward helped Spurs to their first trophy for 17 years with their victory over Manchester United in the Europa League final.
But the 32-year-old has just a year remaining on his contract and, after a season in which he managed just 11 league goals in all competitions and dealt with several injury issues, Tottenham would reportedly consider a big-money bid for the South Korea captain.
Son came off the bench as South Korea, who have already qualified for the 2026 World Cup, beat Kuwait 4-0 in a qualifier on Tuesday.
Asked about talk of a Tottenham exit after the game, Son told reporters: “Since I still have a year left on my contract, I think it’s better for us to wait and see rather than make any statements now.
“Many people, including journalists and football fans, are curious about the future, but I believe it’s best to observe what will happen from the current situation.
“Regardless of where I am or what role I have, I have always done my best and continue to strive because I am the same player who always works hard.
“Wherever I am, I will do my best and prepare thoroughly for whatever comes.”
