Torino vs Lazio betting tips: Serie A preview, predictions & odds

This article provides a preview, prediction and betting tips for Torino vs Lazio in Serie A on Saturday, 20th August 2022.

After earning slim respective three-point hauls on opening day, Torino and Lazio will face off with sights set on more of the same this weekend.

It is visitors Lazio who will into proceedings as understandable favourites to emerge triumphant, but don’t count Torino out.

The Granata came within seconds of a two-goal victory over a rejuvenated Monza last time out, and will likely fancy their chances of securing at least a point.

Lazio’s main man got his campaign up and running in style last weekend, on his way to what proved the eventual winner in a 2-1 downing of Bologna.

The goal means that the prolific frontman has now found the net on opening day for Lazio in five successive seasons.

Fresh off a 27-goal Serie A haul last time out, odds of +650 for more than 1.5 shots on target against Torino therefore looks a shrewd bet.

Match preview

Torino and Lazio are set to go head to head in this Serie A encounter on Saturday evening.

Both sides will head into the clash with spirits high in the camp, on the back of respective opening day victories.

Lazio, in the midst of a busy summer window to date, are viewed as widespread favourites to make it two wins from two, as Maurizio Sarri’s troops eye a return to the Champions League courtesy of a top-4 finish in the Italian top-flight.

Shot-stopper Luis Maximiano will play no part for the Biancocelesti, after being sent off just six minutes into his debut appearance last weekend.

Fellow summer arrival Alessio Romagnoli, though, will be expected to continue in the heart of defence.

Turning attentions towards Torino, Saturday’s hosts will too be without key personnel, after Aleksey Miranchuk’s goalscoring debut was brought to a premature end owing to a hamstring injury.

David Zima and Mergim Vojvoda are also set to miss out, but Per Schurrs could be in line for his maiden outing in Granata colours, after sealing a move to Turin from Dutch giants Ajax earlier this week.
