Saint Lucia vs Saint Kitts and Nevis match preview

Having made the perfect start to life back in League B, will Saint Lucia win again?

On Thursday, Stern John’s team hammered Sint Maarten 5-1 in Willemstad, with Dominic Poleon the scorer of a hat-trick, whilst Reeco Hackett-Fairchild and Ridel Stanislas were also on target.

The last time Saint Lucia competed in the second-tier, during the Nations League’s inaugural edition, they were relegated with just one win to their name, but are already on course to significantly better that.

Saint Kitts and Nevis meantime were beaten by group-favourites Guadeloupe on matchday one, with Tiquanny Williams bagging an equaliser, only for the visitors to win it in Basseterre later on.

The Sugar Boyz made their Gold Cup debut in the summer, overcoming Curaçao and French Guiana, both in penalty shootouts, to get there, before losing all three games, conceding 14 goals and scoring zero.

This though is a much more winnable fixture for Austin Huggins’ side, so will St Kitts leave Daren Sammy Cricket Ground with all three points?
