Ten days later than originally advertised, Woking and Oxford United will meet in the FA Cup first round.

The weekend before last, their clash at Kingfield Stadium was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

This time, the two will belatedly get to meet, now knowing a home game against Exeter City is the prize.

Oxford United won the League Cup in 1986, beating QPR in the final, with their best run in this competition coming in 1964, getting to the quarter-finals.

Just three seasons ago, the Yellows held Newcastle to a round four draw, before exiting in a replay.

Right now, Karl Robinson’s side are 12th in League One, following Saturday’s 4-0 hammering of Port Vale.

So, this’ll be an extremely tough task for Woking of the National League.

The Cardinals are actually fourth in the fifth-tier, beating Boreham Wood 1-0 on Saturday, pushing for promotion to the EFL for the first time ever.

Darren Sarll’s side beat Southend United in last month’s fourth qualifying round, but this’ll be a far tougher assignment.
