Torino vs Genoa preview

Torino are in search of their first win of the season this weekend when they welcome Genoa to Turin as the Serie B runners-up have managed to get one win on the board already in 2022/23.

Genoa did, however, kick off their return to Serie A with a 4-1 loss to Fiorentina on opening weekend, as Davide Biraschi netted the only goal for them.

Nevertheless, the club got back to winning ways with a victory over Lazio in Rome in what will no doubt go down as one of the upsets of the season already - Mateo Retegui scored in the first half that day.

As for Torino, they have struggled tremendously this season with a 4-1 battering at the San Siro last time out where Perr Schuurs equalised for the club in the first half at one stage.

Prior to this, Torino would draw 0-0 with Cagliari in a very lacklsutre encounter, but they did manage to defeat FeralpiSalo in a 2-1 Coppa Italia first round victory before that.
