Rennes vs Le Havre preview
Rennes are back at Roazhon Park this Sunday afternoon to play against Le Havre after an unbeaten start in what will also be the club’s first game without the services of Jeremey Doku.
Doku had been a fantastic servant for Rennes in their incredible rise up the Ligue 1 rankings over the past few seasons and he even scored in the 5-1 win over Metz on opening weekend.
Arnaud Kalimuendo also scored that day, as Amine Gouri scored too before a late brace from Ibrahim Salah inside six minutes towards the end of the game. Incredibly, Rennes had 14 shots on target and 29 efforts that day.
Bruno Génésio’s men followed this up with a comeback draw away to Lens, as they fell 1-0 down inside one minute before Benjamin Bourigeaud salvaged a point from the penalty spot in the second half.
As for Le Havre, they are yet to get a win since returning back to Ligue 1, as they drew with Montpellier on the opening weekend, despite taking a 2-0 lead.
The Ligue 2 champions did also lose at home to Brest last weekend, as Daler Kuzyayev scored in the first half of a 2-1 loss.
