That made it back-to-back victories for Callum Davidson’s side, after they very much spoiled Hibs’ party at Easter Road nine days earlier.
This has seen St Johnstone shoot all the way up to sixth, above their hosts on goal difference.
St Mirren, for their part, were beaten 3-2 by Ross County on Saturday; Ryan Strain and Mark O’Hara netting in vain in the Highlands.
So, the Buddies have won just one of their last five, despite winning four of the five before that.
