Can either of these two claim three crucial points in Houston?

Raiko Arozarena did save a penalty deep into first half stoppage time in Fort Lauderdale, tipping it onto the post, but Guatemala made the all-important breakthrough shortly after the interval.

Los Leones del Caribe have now won won just two of their last 23 Gold Cup matches, beating Belize in 2013 and Guatemala two years later.

Given that they’ll take on Canada on Tuesday, Pablo Elier Sánchez’s side will feel this is must win, if Cuba are going to stand any chance of reaching the knockout stages.

Cavafe was surprisingly left on the bench in Florida, with Pablo Elier Sánchez switching to a back four, having deployed a five in recent friendlies against Chile and Uruguay.

Meanwhile, Aricheell Hernández will captain the side in midfield.

Having come off the bench to make telling contributions in Toronto, Ange-Freddy Plumain and Luther Archimède will be hoping for a start this time.

Thierry Ambrose remains this team’s main goal-threat, having bagged his fifth for Guadeloupe, coming in just 13 caps, against Canada, one of which came against Cuba in the Nations League 12 months ago.
