Arsenal vs PSV Eindhoven betting tips: Europa League preview, predictions and odds

[RECOMMENDED_BETS]

Match preview

This game, taking place 35 days later than billed, will go along-way to determining who takes first place in Europa League Group A.

In this competition, Arsenal have won all three matches so far, beating Bodø/Glimt both home and away so far this month.

A week ago, Bukayo Saka was the night’s only scorer in the Arctic Circle; the ball ricocheting in off his face.

Meanwhile, the Gunners moved four points clear at the top of the Premier League on Sunday, thanks to a hard-fought victory over Leeds United.

Saka, once again, the match-winner, but it is a genuine miracle that Leeds didn’t equalise in the second half, squandering a spot-kick, amongst other opportunities.

Nevertheless, this means Arsenal have won nine of their first ten top-flight games for the first time ever.

In this competition, since a matchday one draw with Bodø/Glimt, the Red and Whites have hammered Zürich twice, winning 5-1 at Letzigrund and then 5-0 at haha.

So, Ruud van Nistelrooy knows a famous victory in North London would see his team them leap into first place.

On the flip side, should Mikel Arteta’s team win, they’d have top spot pretty much wrapped up, ahead of next Thursday’s trip to the Netherlands.

Given that Arsenal haven’t drawn any of their last 27 matches, one off the club record, set in 1983, there’s likely to be a winner.

So, will the Gunners’ winning streak continue?

Arsenal team news

Mohamed Elneny and Emile Smith Rowe are out long-term, while Oleksandr Zinchenko hasn’t featured since the North London derby win due to a calf issue.

In goal, Matt Turner will be looking for a third successive clean sheet.

Elsewhere, Rob Holding, Albert Sambi Lokonga, Fábio Vieira, Marquinhos, Reiss Nelson and Eddie Nketiah are all likely to be rotated in again for this competition.

Takehiro Tomiyasu has started the last two Premier League games at left-back, so Kieran Tierney is set to continue here.

On the other side, Cédric hasn’t played a single minute this season due to injury, but is in contention for this one.

PSV Eindhoven team news

The visitors have plenty of injuries to contend with; Olivier Boscagli, Noni Madueke, Mauro JĂşnior, Marco van Ginkel, Ismael Saibari, Yorbe Vertessen and Luuk de Jong are all out.

Xavi Simons, Guus Til and Anwar El Ghazi, once of Aston Villa, will all be confident after all bagging braces on Sunday.

Their talisman though is captain Cody Gakpo, who’s already scored 13 goals this season, including three in this group.

Manager Ruud van Nistelrooy scored just twice in 12 appearances against Arsenal, famously missing a penalty during the Invincible season.

Nevertheless, do not expect the former Manchester United striker to receive a warm reception.
