Swansea City vs Rotherham United betting tips: Championship preview, predictions and odds

This article provides a preview, odds and recommended bets for the Championship meeting between Reading and Blackpool on February 27th, 2023

Our recommended bet for Monday’s clash at The Liberty Stadium comes in the form of a draw between Swansea City and Rotherham United.

Match preview

A Swansea City outfit desperate for a bounce-back result are set to act as hosts in a Championship outing at the Liberty Stadium this Monday, February 27th.

The matchup in question will see the Swans welcome relegation-battling Rotherham United to southwest Wales.

Looking first at the recent endeavours of the former, Swansea have endured an altogether tough time of things of late.

All told, dating back to mid-January, Russell Martin’s troops have managed just a single victory from their last seven attempts across all competitions.

After welcoming a Stoke City outfit battling against relegation to the Liberty Stadium, Morgan Whittaker’s opener inside two minutes ultimately proved to be little more than a consolation, en route to an eventual 3-1 loss.

Monday’s hosts, as a result, have continued to tumble down the Championship table, now sitting in a lowly 15th.

Turning attentions towards Swansea’s upcoming opponents, a victory for Rotherham later tonight could prove absolutely crucial amid the club’s ongoing bttle against relegation.

The Millers, as things stand, sit just two places clear of the drop zone in England’s 2nd tier.

Owing to weekend defeats on the part of all of the bottom three, though, a victory over Swansea would see Matt Taylor’s men surge a full eight points clear of 22nd-placed Huddersfield.

Any such result, meanwhile, would come as a 2nd on the spin for Rotherham.

This comes with the Yorkshire-based club having sprung a major surprise last time out, in bringing an end to a five-game winless streak courtesy of a 2-1 downing of promotion-chasing Sunderland.

Despite being dominated when it came to both possession and chances created, goals on the part of Oliver Rathbone and Shane Ferguson proved enough to clinch all three points.

We at 101 are therefore backing Rotherham to avoid defeat for the 2nd outing running on Monday evening.

On this occasion, though, an eventual sharing of the spoils between the Millers and hosts Swansea looks a solid bet.
