Blackburn Rovers vs Hull City match preview

A Blackburn Rovers outfit desperate for a return to winning ways are set to act as hosts, in a Championship meeting with Hull City this Saturday, April 15th.

Rovers will head into proceedings at Ewood Park fresh off a concerning, and potentially costly stretch of results over the course of the last month.

After looking as though they had found top form again by way of five successive wins leading into March, Jon Dahl Tomasson’s troops have since managed just a solitary victory in six.

This run includes defeats to all of Stoke City, Birmingham City and Norwich City, as well as an FA Cup exit at the hands of Sheffield United.

To their credit, though, last time out, a trip to Yorkshire to take on resurgent Huddersfield Town saw Blackburn battle back from two goals down, to eventually emerge with a hard-fought share of the spoils.

Rovers, in turn, remain in the promotion playoff spots, albeit with both Preston North End and Norwich ready to take advantage of any further slip-ups.

The Tigers have been condemned to the wrong side of the result in just one of their last seven, and even that came at the hands of table-topping Burnley.

Since, they had notched a trio of successive draws, before playing host to Millwall at the MKM Stadium this past Monday.

And Liam Rosenior’s men went on to clinch a return to winning ways at the expense of the Lions, thanking Adama Traore’s finish 20 minutes from time for an eventual 1-0 triumph.

Hull, as a result, have all but secured their Championship status for another season, now sitting 16th in the table, 11 points clear of the bottom three.

And we at 101 are backing Rosenior and co. to keep their solid recent run alive and well later today, in holding hosts Blackburn to an eventual draw.
