Will Rangers break the record for the worst-ever Champions League group stages?

Last season’s Europa League Finalists came into this campaign with so much hope, overcoming Royale Union Saint-Gilloise and then PSV in qualifiers.

However, Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s team came crashing back down to earth on matchday one, demolished 4-0 at Johan Cruijff Arena.

This has really set to the tone for the Gers’ campaign; they’ve lost all five group games so far, conceding 19 and scoring just once.

So, if the Light Blues are beaten by 2+ goals here, they’ll break GNK Dinamo’s record of the worst-ever Champions League group campaign.

Ajax meantime have also lost all four outings since hammering Rangers, most recently swatted aside 3-0 by Liverpool in Amsterdam.

So, the best Alfred Schreuder’s team cane hope for is the Europa League, needing to avoid a 5+ goal defeat in Glasgow to achieve this.

Can Rangers claim their first Champions League win at Ibrox since September 2010, or will Ajax leave Govan with three points?
