Seventh takes on sixth in the Bundesliga this season as Wolfsburg and Eintracht Frankfurt meet in arguably the biggest game of the season for either side with five points keeping the two adrift of one another in the table.

Wolfsburg have had a topsy-turvy time of things since action resumed in Germany, but with the drop in form from Frankfurt, there is now a chance that the Wolves can bring themselves right into European contention for next season.

Last time out, the club eased past Koln in their last outing and they are now just five behind Frankfurt with the club boasting of a better defensive record with just 29 goals conceded.

As for Frankfurt, they are winless in their past two games after a 2-0 loss at Deutsche Bank Park to Napoli in the Champions League just before a 2-1 loss to RB Leipzig that forced them further away from the drop zone.

Oliver Glasner’s men have won 11 games now and they sit behind Freiburg in fifth by three points but with a much better goals difference.

The club’s Champions League pursuit for next campaign is also far from over, with Leipzig only four points clear after beating Frankfurt last weekend.
