The league leaders will return to Bundesliga action this weekend with Bayern Munich set to head on the road once more to meet with Wolfsburg at the Volkswagen Arena with the champions desperate for a win all of sudden.

Bayern come into this one with just a two-point lead at the top of the table. The 32-time champions of Germany are in the midst of arguably their toughest test in terms of winning the title in the past decade, having practically strolled to the past 11 triumphs with relative ease.

Bayern returned to the win column with a sensational 4-0 win over Mainz in the DFB-Pokal last time out, as Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting scored another goal, before Jamal Musiala and Leroy Sane bagged a goal each. Alphonso Davies capped off the 4-0 win with a rare goal for him this season.

As for Wolfsburg, they lost 2-1 to Union in their last outing in the DFB-Pokal round of 16, but they did manage to smash Freiburg 6-0 and then Hertha Berlin 5-0 in their first two games back in the Bundesliga after the World Cup.

However, the Wovles were beaten 2-1 away from home by Werder Bremen to throw them into seventh last weekend.
