Koln could give their season an almighty boost with a win here over Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga with the home side sitting 11th after a strange run of form before this battle at the RheinEnergieSTADION.

Koln returned with a sensational 7-1 win over Werder Bremen after the World Cup and winter breaks. However, this feels like a lifetime ago after three draws in a row which includes a late equaliser from Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena two weeks ago.

They have since gone on to also draw 0-0 with Schalke, which was damning considering their position in the table. However, in drawing 0-0 at the RheinEnergieSTADION with RB Leizpig, they have once again proven they can hang with those above them.

Frankfurt are up into fifth after also drawing 1-1 with Bayern in Munich two weeks ago. The club also picked up a point in an away trip to Freiburg and head into this off the back of beating Hertha Berlin 3-0 and Darmstadt 4-2 in the DFB-Pokal.

The Europa League winners are still behind Leipzig in fourth by a point, however, but sit only five adrift of the champions at the top of the Bundesliga.
