Brighton have completed the signing of central defender Luka Vuskovic from Tottenham for a fee that could rise to £50million.
The 19-year-old has signed a five-year deal at the Amex with the option for a sixth.
He becomes Spurs’ third-biggest sale in the last 10 years following on from Harry Kane and Kyle Walker.
The signing is a coup for Brighton, who have a well-earned reputation for snapping up young players and turning a profit on them.

Hurzeler says Vuskovic will need time to settle
Seagulls boss Fabian Hurzeler told the club’s official website: “Luka has enjoyed a fantastic start to his career – it’s one we’ve followed closely.
“Last season he demonstrated he can play at a very high level and we want to help him build on that within our environment.
“There’s been a lot of external noise about Luka joining us, but he is still a young guy who will need time to adjust to the demands of playing for Brighton and the Premier League. We are confident that he will take this in his stride though.”
Young star Vuskovic destined for great things
Vuskovic started out with Hajduk Split, making his senior debut two days after his 16th birthday.
He continued to progress in loan spells with Radomiak Radom and Westerlo before joining Spurs in 2025 in a deal that was agreed two years earlier.
The Croatia international spent last season on loan at Hamburg, making 30 appearances in all competitions and also being named the Bundesliga Rookie of the Year.
It is the second deal to be done between Brighton and Spurs this summer.
Last month, Netherlands international defender Jan Paul van Hecke made the opposite switch, joining Tottenham from Brighton for a fee of £52million.
Van Hecke, who had 12 months left on his Brighton contract, will reunite with former Brighton boss Roberto De Zerbi in North London.
