Premier League round-up: Mateta hits hat-trick in six-goal thriller while Wolves misery continues
There was plenty of drama across the Saturday 3pm kick-offs
There were five 3pm kick-offs on Saturday as the Premier League returned following the international break.
Earlier in the day, Chelsea ran out convincing 3-0 winners over Nottingham Forest in what proved to be the final straw for boss Ange Postecoglou, who was promptly sacked just minutes after the full-time whistle.
For a few hours at least, Manchester City moved to the top-flight summit after a 2-0 victory over Everton.
Erling Haaland continued his prolific goal scoring record this term, netting his 23rd and 24th goal in just 13 games for club and country so far this term.
Here is a round-up of the rest of the action.

Sunderland 2-0 Wolves
Wolves’ dismal start to the season continued as they remained winless and rooted to the foot of the table following a 2-0 defeat against Sunderland.

The Black Cats maintained their unbeaten home run and jumped up to seventh in the table as their strong start to life back in the top flight continues.
