Cardinals QB Murray to miss practice with foot injury

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray will miss Wednesday’s practice because of a foot injury.

Murray appeared to sustain the injury in the third quarter of their Week 5 game with the Tennessee Titans on a bizarre play on which a shotgun snap hit him in the face, resulting in a fumble recovery for Tennessee.

The Cardinals committed a series of errors as they surrendered a 21-3 lead to lose 22-21 at home to the previously winless Titans.

Having lost three in a row to drop to 2-3, the Cardinals are in dire need of a win to prevent their position in a loaded NFC West division from becoming more desperate.

They face a difficult task in Week 6 as they travel to take on the 4-1 Indianapolis Colts.

And Murray’s participation right now appears to be in some doubt, with head coach Jonathan Gannon saying the 2019 first overall pick is taking the injury “day by day”.

Veteran backup Jacoby Brissett will get the start if Murray cannot play against Indianapolis.
