Gameweek 5 of the Premier League is well underway and there were four 3pm kick-offs in the top flight on Saturday.
After Liverpool beat Everton early on to secure bragging rights in the Merseyside derby, attention turned to the other teams in action.
Tottenham hit another stumbling block under Thomas Frank, drawing away to Brighton despite a solid start to life under the Dane.
Elsewhere, Burnley welcomed Ange Postecoglou’s Nottingham Forest, West Ham hosted Crystal Palace and Leeds travelled to Wolves.
Read on to see how the matches unfolded.
Burnley 1-1 Nottingham Forest
Burnley and Nottingham Forest shared the points in a frantic 1-1 draw at Turf Moor.
The visitors made a dream start when Nico Williams smashed home from a corner inside two minutes, registering the fastest goal of the Premier League season so far.
Burnley responded midway through the first half, as Jaidon Anthony continued his fine scoring run by slotting in the equaliser after a chaotic scramble in the box.
The second half was end-to-end, with chances falling to both sides. Anthony went close again just seconds after the restart, while Chris Wood and Bakwa both tested Burnley’s back line.
In the closing stages, Forest laid siege to the home goal, but Martin Dubravka produced a string of outstanding saves to deny Williams, Kalimuendo, and Jesus.
West Ham 1-2 Crystal Palace
Crystal Palace extended their unbeaten Premier League start with a 2-1 win over West Ham at the London Stadium, leaving Graham Potter’s side still searching for a first home victory.
Jean-Philippe Mateta opened the scoring in the first half, reacting quickest after Marc Guehi’s header was tipped onto the bar.
Jarrod Bowen briefly restored parity early in the second half, glancing in from a corner for his second league goal of the season.
The Eagles quickly regained control, however, as Tyrick Mitchell volleyed home his first league goal since May 2024 after a defensive mix-up.
Palace’s sharpness was reflected in the numbers, registering 2.14 xG compared to West Ham’s 0.61.
Bowen and Lucas Paqueta came close, but Palace’s resilient backline, which boasts the league’s best defensive record, held firm.
Wolves 1-3 Leeds
Wolves slumped to a fifth straight defeat, remaining bottom of the Premier League after a 3-1 home loss to Leeds United at Molineux.
The hosts made the perfect start when Krejci netted his first top-flight goal inside eight minutes, but Leeds responded ruthlessly with three goals before half-time.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin equalised with a trademark back-post header, before Anton Stach curled in a stunning free-kick to put the visitors in front.
Just before the break, Stach turned provider, sliding a pass to Noah Okafor, who drilled home a composed finish to make it 3-1.
