Players will report back to facilities this month to ramp up preparations for the new campaign.

Training camps bring the first full contact padded practices for teams and will see a plethora of key position battles that will have an impact on the fates of various teams in the 2025 campaign.

Which teams are taking part in joint practices?

A total of 29 teams will take in 24 joint practices during training camp.

The Cincinnati Bengals, Kansas City Chiefs and New Orleans Saints are the only teams not involved in joint practices.

Several teams, including the Baltimore Ravens, Los Angeles Rams, San Francisco 49ers and Washington Commanders, will take part in multiple joint practices.

Who is the ‘Hard Knocks’ team?

It was confirmed in May that the Buffalo Bills will have their training camp take place under the spotlight of the Hard Knocks cameras, which will give an insight into the Bills’ preparations to finally get over the hump after so much playoff heartbreak in recent seasons.

The in-season version of Hard Knocks will feature the four teams who contest the NFC East, including the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles.

When does the Hall of Fame game take place?

The Hall of Fame game kicks off preseason on July 31 at 8pm ET. It will see the Los Angeles Chargers face the Detroit Lions at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton, Ohio.

And what about the rest of preseason?

The first official preseason games begin on August 7, with the final exhibitions taking place on August 23, with all teams contesting three games over the course of that 16-day schedule.

When are final roster cuts?

NFL teams must cut their 90-man preseason roster down to 53 players by 4pm ET on August 26.

Training camps officially conclude on August 31, with the 2025 regular season beginning on September 4 when the Philadelphia Eagles host the Dallas Cowboys.
