Eintracht Frankfurt CEO Axel Hellmann reveals Cristiano Ronaldo contact

The Portuguese legend remains without a club after a rumored move to Al Nassr was temporarily rebuffed as Ronaldo hopes to remain in a top league in Europe

Portuguese footballing icon Cristiano Ronaldo remains bereft of fresh grazing grounds after the conclusion of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, with club football set to restart in the coming weeks after a fantastic mid-season spectacle in Qatar.

The soon-to-be 38-year-old was jettisoned from Manchester United after his contentious interview with British journalist and TV personality Piers Morgan, but despite his unquestionable talent, he remains without a club.

According to Eintracht Frankfurt CEO Axel Hellmann, the Bundesliga outfit was recently offered the chance to sign Ronaldo.

Though Die Adler is not financially capable of loading Ronaldo onto their books, a cadre of wealthy clubs in England and on the continent are able to assume his financial picture, with Hellmann suggesting that club football’s all-time leading goalscorer has been offered to a myriad of clubs in Europe.

“[Ronaldo] was even offered to us,” he said. “I have the feeling he was offered to every Champions League club,” Hellmann said when speaking with DAZN.

Ronaldo’s options in Europe remain small, however, with only the likes of Manchester City, Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain, and Real Madrid likely seen as the only clubs that would be willing and/or able to offer him the platform of wages he deems acceptable for his services while also offering Champions League or Europa League football.
