Al Nassr chief speaks on potential Cristiano Ronaldo deal

A fresh insight into the future of free agent Cristiano Ronaldo has been forthcoming late on Thursday.

The name of hitman Ronaldo has of course taken its place front and centre in the headlines over the course of the last couple of weeks.

This comes after the powers that be at Manchester United opted to act on the future of their attacking icon in decisive fashion.

After Ronado set tongues wagging in taking aim at the Red Devils in ruthless fashion during a now-infamous interview with Piers Morgan, the club responded by swiftly terminating the contract of the five-time Ballon d’Or winner.

Ronaldo, in turn, finds himself on the lookout for a new club with a view to the January transfer window.

And now, as alluded to above, one such outfit tipped as a potential landing spot for the 37-year-old have spoken publicly regarding the matter.

Saudi outfit outfit Al Nassr, of course, were recently reported to have tabled a record-breaking €200 million-per-year contract offer to Ronaldo, culminating in suggestions that the veteran was taking into serious consideration the possibility of making the move to Riyadh.

Speaking to the media on Thursday, the club’s president, Mussali Al Muammar, was therefore drawn once more on the chances of his side landing the Portuguese icon.

And Al Muammar went on to explain:

“Cristiano was busy recently with the World Cup and I didn’t expect him to negotiate with anyone. We will not speak about other players, I wish the best to Cristiano with any decision.”
