Toni Kroos makes major Fede Valverde claim after Real Madrid’s Clasico triumph

Real Madrid star Toni Kroos has taken to social media on Sunday evening, to lavish praise on teammate Federico Valverde.

Los Blancos, of course, were back in action a short time ago.

In the latest edition of Spanish football’s fiercest rivalry, Carlo Ancelotti’s troops welcomed Barcelona to the Bernabeu, for a top-of-the-table La Liga showdown.

And, when all was said and done, as has so often proven the case over recent seasons, it was indeed Real who emerged with the Clasico bragging rights.

Strikes on the part of all of Karim Benzema, Federico Valverde and Rodrygo ensured that Barca’s sole goal of the evening, netted by Ferran Torres late on, was left to stand as little more than a consolation.

On the back of the full-time whistle in Spain’s capital on Sunday evening, it should therefore come as little surprise to hear of a number of members of Carlo Ancelotti’s ranks being singled out for widespread praise.

The Uruguayan international, as alluded to above, found the net against Barca, continuing to showcase a newly-found ruthless streak in the final third.

This, though, marked just one aspect of a stellar all-round display, culminating in teammate Toni Kroos taking to his personal social media platforms, to make a major claim.

According to German icon Kroos, Valverde should be widely considered as:

‘Top 3 in the world right now’.
