There was an emotion meeting on Tuesday for a young Polish lad and Cristiano Ronaldo.

David Pawlaczyc hit the headlines back in 2013 when he woke up from a coma thanks, in part, to Ronaldo.

David, a young Real Madrid fan, had a bad accident in 2013 while riding a bike, and as a result the boy fell into a three month long coma.

Trying to save the child, David’s parents brought him to a clinic specialising in child recovery in order to test a new method of treatment.

It was suggested that David may benefit to listen to commentary of Real Madrid and Portugal games on headphones as it was known that he was huge Cristiano Ronaldo fan.

Then, three months later, the boy woke up at the exact moment he was listening to Cristiano scoring his third goal for Portugal against Sweden in their World Cup playoff.

In April 2014, Ronaldo invited David to Madrid as his special guest to watch a Champions League match against Borussia Dortmund.

Reunion on Tuesday

Fast forward to this week, and David Pawlaczyc has once again got together with his idol Cristiano Ronaldo in Poland.

Real face Legia Warsaw in the Champions League on Wednesday night. Pawlaczyc drove six hours to meet his favourite player on Tuesday.

Once reunited, Ronaldo posed for pictures with his Polish friend while he also signed merchandise.
