Arsenal v Everton: Confirmed line-ups as Gunners host Toffees in Premier League clash

Arsenal welcome Everton to the Emirates hoping to keep the pressure on Premier League leaders and rivals Manchester City.

The defending champions are currently three points adrift of City, but will be buoyed after rescuing a point against Bayern Munich in the Champions League in midweek.

Everton, meanwhile, arrive in London after a disappointing afternoon against Chelsea at the Hill Dickinson Stadium last time out, where Pedro Neto scored twice for the visitors in a 2-0 victory.

David Moyes’s side are eighth, three points off the top four, and they have been very hard to beat on the road, drawing all three of their away league games.

Arsenal team news

Bukayo Saka is set for a spell on the sidelines after hobbling off against Bayern, and so Eberechi Eze comes into the replace the winger.

Elsewhere, Ben White comes in at right-back, while Myles Lewis-Skelly starts on the left in place of Riccardo Calafiori.

Mikel Merino is preferred to Bruno Guimaraes in midfield, while Viktor Gyokeres gets the nod over Kai Havertz up top. Piero Hincapie returns to the squad after recovering from an ankle injury.

The big news from the Everton camp is the absence of both Jack Grealish and Jarrad Branthwaite.

The former is suffering from illness, while the latter is absent due to concussion protocols following a heavy collision with Chelsea goalkeeper Emi Martinez last time out.
