Leicester City vs Norwich City betting tips: Premier League preview, predictions and odds

Leicester City have won four of their last six meetings with Norwich City, including a 2-1 victory at Carrow Road back in August. The Canaries have win just five of their last 55 Premier League away games.

Leicester City to win and over 2.5 goals is 21/20.

Leicester City to win, over 2.5 goals and both teams to score NO is 5/1.

Kelechi Ịheanachọ is 9/2 to break the deadlock and 6/5 to score anytime.

Match preview

It's a tale of two cities at the King Power featuring two clubs who are disappointed by the way their respective seasons have turned out.

After back-to-back fifth place finishes, Leicester certainly won't be satisfied with their current position of 14th, on course for their lowest finish since 2015.

The Foxes were hoping to salvage the campaign via the Europa Conference League, but their hopes and dreams in that competition were shattered last midweek.

Six night ago, Leicester were beaten 1-0 at Stadio Olimpico, thereby going out 2-1 to Roma in, what was, their first-ever European semi-final.

Still stung by this, Brendan Rodgers' side were beaten 2-1 by strugglers Everton on Sunday, despite Patson Daka's 11th minute equaliser.

So, the Foxes are now winless in five Premier League games, only winning four of 16 league fixtures in 2022.

Here, they're looking to avoid three straight defeats in the league for the first time since 2019, what proved to be Claude Puel's final games in charge.

After this, their season concludes with games against Watford, Chelsea and Southampton, aiming to find some form and climb into the top half.

Norwich City meanwhile, having won just five times all season, are rock bottom of the table and are heading straight back down.

This'll be the fourth season in a row they've changed division with their last four Premier League escapades all ending in relegation.

With their fate already sealed, the Canaries put in one of their worst display of the campaign on Sunday, getting hammered 4-0 by West Ham.

This means Dean Smith's side have lost four games on the bounce, taking just four points from the last 36 available.

Four certainly seems to be the magic number for Norwich but, if that theme is to continue, it'll probably be by conceding another quartet of goals.

Despite their own trials and tribulations, Leicester will fancy their chances of a victory in this one.

Leicester City team news

Key midfielder Wilfred Ndidi remains sidelined; how differently would that Roma tie have played out if the Nigerian had been fit?

In his absence, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has become undroppable in midfield having started 22 of 24 matches in 2022.

James Maddison missed the weekend defeat but, if he's back, he'll fancy his chances of a goal against the club he left for Leicester.

Luke Thomas could return at left-back with either Timothy Castagne or Daniel Amartey deputising for Ricardo Pereira on the other side.

Jamie Vardy and Harvey Barnes could return to the attack after Patson Daka and Kelechi Ịheanachọ led the line at the weekend.

Norwich City team news

Ben Gibson was surprisingly dropped at the weekend, but will return at centre-back, alongside captain Grant Hanley.

So, Sam Byram is set to revert to right-back with out of favour Max Aarons dropping out.

Brandon Williams and Billy Gilmour both started at the weekend which, given that both are on loan, seems slightly pointless given Norwich's predicament.

Teemu Pukki will lead the line; he's scored twice in three appearance against Leicester, including in the reverse fixture in August.
