Wolves team news and predicted XI vs Chelsea

Despite not sitting in the relegation zone, Wolves are very much in the midst of a relegation battle with their Premier League future hardly guaranteed as just one point separates from the bottom three

Wolves Team News

  • Out: Saša Kalajdžić, Chiquinho, Rúben Neves (red card), Jonny (red card)
  • Doubt: Boubacar Traoré, Hwang Hee-Chan

Wolves boss Julen Lopetegui has yet to truly push the midlands club forward this season despite his managerial track record in Europe as the Spanish manager remains focused on the task of keeping the club in the top flight of English football. Sitting just outside the bottom three by a single point and in the very heart of a relegation battle involving no less than nine clubs, each point matters from here on out until the end of the 2022-23 season.

A clash with Chelsea awaits on Saturday but the absence of key figures makes the meeting with the Blues that much more difficult. Both Rúben Neves and Jonny will be missing via suspension, while summer signings Saša Kalajdžić and Chiquinho are both out for the remainder of the campaign due to injury. Boubacar Traoré and Hwang Hee-Chan could make the matchday squad subject to the results of late assessments but would be hard-pressed to feature in the XI.
