An insight into the summer transfer plans of Premier League outfit Tottenham Hotspur has been provided on Thursday evening.

And the news will no doubt be met with widespread excitement on the part of the Lilywhites faithful.

This comes with Fabio Paratici and the transfer team in north London understood to be eyeing a whole host of high-profile additions ahead of the 2022/23 campaign.

With a return to the grandest stage of European football looking a near certainty, Spurs have set their sights on reinforcements in a whole host of areas across the pitch.

High on the agenda, as per the reliable Alasdair Gold of football.london, is the addition of a new centre-forward, to rotate with or even potentially play alongside star hitman Harry Kane.

Six centre-forwards are said to be under consideration at this moment in time, coming in the form of Gabriel Jesus, Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Victor Osimhen, Alexander Isak, Patrik Schick and Darwin Nunez.

Next up comes a new central defender, with Alessandro Bastoni of Inter Milan boasting a number of keen admirers at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The board at the San Siro, though, are expected to demand a fee in excess of £50 million to even take a sale into consideration.

Further up the pitch, also being eyed are reinforcements in the middle of the park, with two names at present viewed as frontrunners to replace the outbound Harry Winks.

The players in question? Leicester City standout Youri Tielemans, and former Spurs creator Christian Eriksen, currently on the books at Premier League rivals Brentford.

Between the posts, meanwhile, it appears that business has already been concluded, amid claims that Sam Johnstone, in line to become a free agent upon the expiration of his contract with West Brom in the summer, is 'set to' arrive in north London.

This comes with current Tottenham no.2 Pierluigi Gollini in line for a return to Italy with Atalanta, having failed to impress across his loan stint to date.
